What made you decide to become CISSP certified?

In my role, I interact with teams from diverse backgrounds on a daily basis. Many of the key personnel hold ISC² certifications. I wanted to become CISSP certified to create a common basis for interactions with and within these teams. CISSP covers a wide range of the most relevant and important areas of information security within the 8 domains. This is why I felt it was the best certification to address any gaps in my experience and give me the essential knowledge and expertise I needed.

Why did you attend a class-room based 5 day CISSP Training Seminar?

There is seemingly no end to the material available purporting to support individuals preparing for the CISSP exam, but I felt that the classroom based training was the only efficient way to get to the core of what you actually needed to know for the exam.

I believe taking the 5 days out to concentrate on preparation for the CISSP ultimately saved me time in the long run.
