Cyber Security Improvement Grant – implement changes to secure your business

Cyber Security Improvement Grant supports Irish small and medium companies to implement changes in their systems and practices to enhance their cybersecurity and help protect their businesses from cyberattacks. The grant is open to companies who have received a Cyber Security Report on completion of a Cyber Security Review.

On completion of the Cyber Security Review, you can apply for the Cyber Security Improvement Grant. This grant from the NCSC-IE offers 80% funding, up to €60,000, to help companies in Ireland to implement the recommendations and address vulnerabilities identified in your review.

What is provided?

Funding of 80% of the project cost to:

  • Implement priority recommendations from the Cyber Security Review.
  • Provide guidance on ongoing cybersecurity and future improvements.
  • Re-test your company’s cyber security level post-implementation.

A comprehensive report will confirm actions undertaken by the consultant, follow-on steps for you to undertake and recommendations for ongoing cybersecurity. The report will also demonstrate how your company’s cybersecurity has improved from before you undertook the Enterprise Ireland Cyber Security Review, to now.

 

What are the expected Outcomes?

The goal of the  to empower each company with enhanced cybersecurity measures, and reducing vulnerability to attacks.

 

Who can apply?

  • Eligible companies are client companies of Enterprise Ireland with an assigned Development Advisor who have completed the Enterprise Ireland Cyber Security Review.
  • Only one Cyber Security Improvement Grant can be approved per company (or group of companies).
  • Minimum project cost is €25,000.
  • As part of the application, you will need your CRO number.
  • The Grant is only valid for costs incurred after your application is approved.

 

What is the application process?

Applications close at midnight on 8th December 2024. The completed application and all requested supported documents must be submitted by this date to be assessed.  The supporting documents required are:

  • Enterprise Ireland Cyber Security Review Letter of Offer.
  • A copy of the Cyber Security Report.
  • A Statement of Proposed Works.
  • Quote(s) from a cyber security consultant/service provider.
